10th Age of Literati Cultural & Arts Festival — “Brilliant Arts” Poetry and Art Highlights

To promote the enduring spirit of literati culture and showcase the beauty of Chinese artistic traditions, the Canada One Family Network (COFN Cultural Center) successfully presented the “Brilliant Arts” Calligraphy & Painting Competition and the Recitation Showcase as key events of the 10th Age of Literati Cultural & Arts Festival.

This year’s festival welcomed enthusiastic participation from ages 4 to 80, reflecting the inclusiveness and vitality of Chinese culture across generations.

✒️ Calligraphy & Painting — Tradition Meets Innovation

Under the theme “Brilliant Arts”, artists demonstrated a wide spectrum of styles — from classical brushwork to modern interpretations.Their creations expressed the harmony of mind, nature, poetry, and painting, continuing the legacy of literati aesthetics:

Painting within poetry, poetry within painting.

A professional five-member jury panel evaluated the artworks based on creativity, technique, expression, and cultural depth — ensuring a fair and inspiring competition.

🎤 Recitation Showcase — The Voice of Classical Beauty

To promote appreciation for classical literature, participants performed required selections from The Book of Songs (《诗经》) — one of China’s oldest and most treasured poetry anthologies.Through rhythm, emotion, and refined delivery, contestants experienced and conveyed the elegance of the Chinese language and its profound cultural heritage.

为弘扬文人精神、展现中华艺术之美，加拿大一同家园文化中心成功举办了“辉煌艺术”书画大赛及诗歌朗诵展演，作为第十届文人时代文化艺术节的重要活动。
