MARKHAM, ON — Canada One Family Network (COFN) is pleased to announce its upcoming event, ONE FAMILY TOGETHER: York Region Welcoming Week Information & Cultural Celebration, taking place on September 12–13, 2026, at New Kennedy Square in Markham, Ontario.

Funded by York Region, this two-day community event is designed to welcome newcomers, connect residents with local organizations, and celebrate the rich cultural diversity of York Region.

Event Details

Event Name: ONE FAMILY TOGETHER — York Region Welcoming Week Information & Cultural Celebration
Dates: Saturday, September 12 & Sunday, September 13, 2026
Time: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Location: New Kennedy Square, 8360 Kennedy Road, Markham, Ontario
Admission: FREE to the public

Community Partner Invitation

Canada One Family Network warmly invites local non-profits, settlement agencies, and community organizations to join as official Community Partners. Participating organizations are invited to:

Share settlement information and community resources
Introduce services and programs to newcomers and local residents
Connect directly with diverse communities, families, youth, and seniors
Build new organizational partnerships across York Region
Participate in multicultural stage performances and cultural activities
Engage families through welcoming, inclusive, and interactive programming

Partners can participate by hosting an information booth, distributing community resources, presenting services, or contributing to the cultural and family programming.

Creating an Inclusive Community

Admission is completely free for all members of the public. COFN encourages community partners and residents to join together in fostering an environment where everyone feels connected, respected, and part of one family.

How to Participate

Organizations interested in hosting a booth or joining the programming are asked to contact Canada One Family Network via email to confirm their preferred form of participation. Detailed booth specifications and event schedules will be provided upon response.

本届为期两天的社区庆典活动由约克区政府（York Region）资助，旨在欢迎新移民、促进本地居民与社区机构之间的深度沟通，并共同庆祝约克区多元文化的丰富性与包容性。
