Review of Exciting Activities During the Easter Holidays

We would like to extend our gratitude to the teachers and performers who participated in the performances and art and crafts workshops, bringing joy to the enthusiastic citizens who joined us for Easter egg painting and card-making activities with their children, making it a delightful day for all!

The Easter Carnival's community stage performances were diverse and captivating.

The COFN elderly Chinese orchestra, led by guzheng musician Ms. Cao Lina and erhu musician Ms. Zhou Jiali, presented a beautiful and melodious concert of traditional ethnic music.

Renowned musician Mr. Chan Kwok Kuen (Phil Chan) led a group of singers including Alice Ko, Eva Chan, Minna Tse, Stella Situ, Howard Wu, and Wendy Chan, delivering splendid performances of classic hits and lively dances.

The young artists from Toma Dance School and MK Singing School, who have long been active in the community, displayed high spirits and positive energy throughout their performances.

The dynamic triplets sisters and the Zumba instructor from Peterborough VSL, showcased youthful vigor and vitality through their dance performances.

Special thanks to workshops instructors from Qing Yi Art Studio , Jenny from Li Jie Art Studio, and Helen from the Chinese Autism Centre for hosting the art and crafts workshops. Hundreds of children participated in artistic handicraft activities.

Winners of the Li Jie Art Studio painting contest were awarded by The City of Markham Ward 2 Councillor Ritch Lau.

We are grateful for the support from the Ontario Senior Community Grant, Diamond Sponsors WUKONG EDUCATION and Ms. Qing Qing from Meisi Kangchen, as well as the numerous sponsors of art booths, handicrafts, and commercial exhibitors that supported the event.

We also extend our thanks to media sponsors including Yorkbbs, Canada Times, and Chinese Hotspots for their coverage and support.
