Graduated from the Wuhan Conservatory and taught at the Zhengzhou University School of Music as a professor oferhu for decades. She is a member of the China Nationalities Orchestra Society, the National Higher MusicEducation Association and the China Nationalities Orchestra Society Grading committee of expert judges. She hasrepeatedly won the China Nationalities Orchestra Society outstanding instructor award. In 1996 she won the NationalHigher Education in Vocal Music Society instrumental competition erhu solo prize. She is now an erhu teaching and performing professional artist.

Erhu began in the Tang Dynasty, called "Xiqin", and has a history of morethan a thousand years. It is a traditional Chinese stringed instrument and one of the main instruments of the Chinese Orchestra.
